The purpose of this page is two-fold. The first can be told in a story: We had been looking for a nice spool cabinet for some time. In an un-illustrated newspaper auction advertisement we thought we had found just the cabinet. The auction location was over 100 miles away and we did not want to make a futile drive quite that far. We telephoned for a catalog, the secretary said there was not a catalog available for the auction but did state that the cabinet was in excellent condition. With anticipation we drove to the auction - as you may have guessed by now - anticipation turned to disappointment. In questioning, we located the secretary we had spoke with on the telephone, who stated "the cabinet was in excellent condition for as old as it is". The auction contained many very nice items - one we could not resist - but not the spool cabinet we had originally intended to purchase.
Part two: Driving home we developed the idea of a web site dedicated to detailed color pictures of featured auction items. With this goal in mind we present:
