1. WHAT IS SCRATCH AND DENT?

HI, WE ARE CHARLIE & CHERI - WE LOVE BARGAINS.
Over the last 2 years Cheri and I have bought and sold on eBay under user ID chon@fuse.net. We have also attended many bankruptcy auctions, flea markets and have made purchases at scratch and dent sales. In 2001 we have been involved in some larger multi-item and full flat purchases. These items are store display items, open box returns, refunds, exchanges etc.. Our items are from 2 large nationwide department stores and shipping damaged items from 2 trucking companies. Hence our eBay selling name scratchanddent.

2. WHY ARE WE SELLING THESE ITEMS?

By buying these multi-item and full flat purchases we can not pick and choose the exact items we would like - we have to take all or nothing. In these purchases we have repeats of the same item we do not need and can not use. Our thoughts are to share these items with other eBay users giving them the opportunity to bid on quality items at wholesale or less than wholesale prices. In all honesty we love to root through our purchases first for our treasures and then pass the remaider on for auction to pay for the next batch of goodies. We have fun!

3. WHY SHOULD I BUY?

The item cost even with shipping is usually 50% or less than the products list price.

4. DOES IT WORK?

There are only 2 of us and we auction a small number of items each week. We test the items in opened packages, we do not test unopened packages. The items that require special testing equipment that we do not have we mark NA. See our SCRATCHANDDENT RATING chart.

5. IS THERE A GUARANTEE?

NO.

The only exception is an error by us with the item description. Buying these items is somewhat similiar to playing the stock market - there is a risk. Many items are unopened factory sealed boxes others are unused returns or exchanges. Some items are used and it will be noted in the description. We have found that 80% to 90% of the items work, 10% to 20% may need some repair. Our ratings reflect our honest opinion of these items. NON-WORKING items are not sold by us on eBay.
